Research Interests: Studies of ion channels and signal transduction in brain neurons in relation to sleep disorders, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson's diseases. Major emphasis is placed on the effects of slow acting excitatory transmitters such as substance P, orexin and ghrelin on potassium and non-selective cation (TRPC) channels.
